Dear LEAF supporters,
On December 2, 2011, the Boards of the Legal Environmental Aid Foundation (LEAF) and the Hoosier Environmental Council (HEC) formally agreed to merge organizations. The merged organization will be called the Hoosier Environmental Council.
All of the online resources that you've valued at www.leafindiana.org can now be found onHEC's website including information about ongoing cases.
I will continue to be just as involved in helping communities who face environmental injustices, as before, but in a new role as HEC's Water and Agricultural Policy Director. Providing legal assistance and a voice for sustainable environmental policies before state agencies and in the legislature will be the core of my new role. I can be reached atkferraro@hecweb.org. Former LEAF Board Members Julie Peller, Ellen Szarletta and Kevin Cornett will now be a part of the new HEC Board.
